Welcome Back Garrison Mill Families!
The PTA theme for the 2008-2009 year is “BE‘E’
΄INVOLVED”!
We are very excited to Be‘e’ Involved in the life of
each child and our wonderful school. Our new team of PTA leaders are
working diligently to Be‘e’ Involved with Mrs. Paula Huffman and Dr. Vicki
Stasiak, our new administrative team, to make this year productive and
engaging to all involved with Garrison Mill Elementary.
We, the PTA leaders, ask that educators, students,
families, and parents (working in or outside of the home), to Be‘e’ Involved
with our GM goals which are…
Be‘e’ Involved in creating and sustaining a welcoming
school environment.
We strongly encourage each family to Be‘e’ Involved as
active participants in life at Garrison Mill.
- Be‘e’ Involved with volunteer
opportunities: Media Center, Front Desk, Fall Festival, School Dance, GM
Habitat Day, Room Parent, etc… There IS a place and a way for everyone
to Be‘e’ Involved.
- Be‘e’ Involved in helping our
school community by signing up on PTO Manager to let us know how you can
help our school grow.

The GM PTA pledge to Be‘e’ Involved by supporting
- Teacher Allotments and
Mini-grants- used to benefit every child during this school year.
- Technology Support- will expand
learning opportunities to prepare our children for their futures.
- Existing Programs- continued
support to teach and emphasize the importance of reading, writing, math
skills, culture, and health.
Be‘e’ Involved in creating an effective atmosphere for
communication.
- Parent Workshops- adult family
members can Be‘e’ Involved with vital and engaging topics to benefit
every child and family.
- PAWS (the PTA Newsletter) - to
keep every family informed of all activities and important information
pertaining to Garrison Mill.
- PTA Calendar and Directory- use
these guides to stay connected to GM life.
- PTA website-

- An Involved PTA Executive
Board- who is happy to talk with you. We want you to Be'e' involved!
We welcome and encourage every family member to Be‘e’
Involved! Garrison Mill will greatly benefit from any and all talents you

and most importantly, our children can continue to grow and succeed!
